Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only form of hair removal the FDA has approved as permanent hair removal. It is permanent for any hair color or skin type. This process is not dependent upon the color of the hair in order to destroy the follicle, so all colors of hair are permanently treated.
Electrolysis involves a series of treatments over a period of time which can range anywhere from a few months to a few years, depending on the area of treatment, the amount of hair, its coarseness, the cause of the excess hair, and many other factors. Ultimately, once the dermal papilla has been eliminated, the follicle is dead and will not regrow hair. The Elite offers the ability to use either the Alexandrite 755nm or Nd:Yag 1064nm wavelengths, so all skin types can safely be treated.
